Still Waiting and Not Really Happy

Thank you all to your encouraging words.. I know it will happen but just a little irritated.  The smoking thing is  really hard...    No I have never spoken with Brenda.  I should do that.  I don't call them much, I don't want them to feel as if I am rushing.  I would just like to know whats going on and where I am at...

I found out that Brenda's DIL (we know she is pregnant with twins) is in the hospital.  They are trying to wait it out, evidently she is having some problems. Her OB is watching one of the babies very closely.  I also found out, her mother is ill and her husband is having surgery this Wed.  What else can the poor girl have going on?  Brenda is so supportive, If she has helped you,(or those who have not had that opportunity) please send her prayers and best wishes for her sanity and good health for her family....especially those babies!!

I would definately just go to another surgeon.... nothing special about Dr. Sonnanstine. any surgeon can do what he does.  Once you are approved you can go to anyone that it with your insurance company..

There is where you are DEAD WRONG!!!! Not only is Dr. Sonnanstine special so is his entire staff.  You are definitely entitled to your opinion but unless you have gone to him you have no idea what you are talking about.  He is the most caring doctor I have ever met in my life (I'm 48).  Dr. Sonnanstine and his entire staff care very much about their patients.  I had nothing but the absolute BEST care possible.  They were always looking in on me after surgery, always asking if I needed anything for pain, asking if they could do anything for me or get me anything, they had constant words of encouragement for me and still do.  I have yet to call down there and have anyone be rude or dismissive to me.  And there are no stupid questions they answer anything and everything that concerns you and want you to feel like you can call anytime with anything.  I would assume you work at or are part of another doctors group or St. Luke who is bitter about something....because I have never read anything you have written that is good about Dr. Sonnanstine and it looks as if you became a member shortly after he left.... coincidence?  Maybe maybe not.......at any rate you have your opinion but I doubt you have any first hand knowledge of Dr. Sonnanstine, his staff, or the hospital he is at now.  In MY opinion he, his staff and the hospital are very special!  Georgetown is extremely fortunate to have those people there.  But you are correct there are other doctors out there that do the same thing and I am sure they are very capable.  Donna

If you know sooooo much then why is your profile sooooo blank and the only time you respond is if it is something to do with Dr. Sonnanstine?
OBVIOUSLY you do not know him, or you wouldn't be talking smack! He is the absolute BEST dr in the entire world, and his staff is beyond amazing! If he is such a awful dr. then why in the world is everyone and there brother dying to get in with him and have him operate on them instead of other people.
He is the most caring dr I have ever had, and will forever be greatful for all of the support he has shown me, and his awesome bedside manner. His staff is truly there to help, and are really trying to do all they can to fit in all of these patients that are waiting to get in with him.
Until you have had him as a Dr. and can back up yourself a little better you really need to back off. I am pretty sure there are quiet a few of us here that don't have a bit of a problem defending Dr. Sonnanstine! I am sure they have all seen first hand how wonderful he is..
Why don't you inform us on what you know sooo much about? Maybe then it wouldn't look as fishy that you are just against him for some other reason? I am sure you can't because there is nothing bad that could possibly be said about the man!

I couldn't agree more with jadeallyson it is a little fishy that "penny" only writes negative things in regards to Dr. S and no not every doctor is the same do you know how many docotors I "interviewed" before I gave birth to my daughter 15 yep 15 so no not every doctor is the same. This site is suppose to be about supporting people who are having or have had surgery not having a stinking (I would love to use more colorful language towards you) attitude inregards to  the doctors who do these services and by the way I was just wondering can you please remind me what medical school you graduated from if you can't be more positive towards the members of this site why don't you stay the heck off and go live in your own obvious negative world. It's people like you that scare people from having this surgery in the first place. Clearly your opinion is worthless and know one should ever answer another one of your negative posts you make me sick.

Dr S. pretty much saved the lives of my husband, my mother-in-law, myself and next he is doing my father-in-laws surgery. So wow I guess he's not such a horrible docotor after all 

Wow you've got  a real atttude problems when it comes to Dr S. I would love to know exactly what medical school you went to and what your other credentials are.
No not all doctors are the same before I had my daughter I "interviewed" 15 before I settled on one.
Every single time you post you spew nothing but garbage and really people reading your posts are wasting their time. I wish that obesityhelp would ban you because of your negativity you are clearly not helping pre or post op patients in any way shape or form with the garbage you post.

 Dr S. pretty much saved my husband Pat, my mother-in-law Cindy and I from an early grave and next he is doing my father -in -law plus my dad is considering. And apparently he's not such a bad docotor considering I've had 3 friends switch to him, a cousin and shockinly enough a second cousin who had Dwayne Smith.

I hope you go on with your negative life because you are clearly happy with it and leave the rest of us the h*ll alone so that we can continue to support each other in a positive fashion.

Well Dr. Tom is who will be doing my surgery.  I have only heard great things of him and everyone that I have met on here that has had him for a doctor says they wouldn't go anywhere else.  I will be sticking with him, but thanks anyways.
