Still Waiting and Not Really Happy
Well as you all know I have my insurance approval, got all my clearances in and still haven't heard from Georgetown on when my second appt. is. I am really getting aggravated. I have quit smoking but am now having the cravings really bad. I don't know if it is where I am so aggravated or if it is now I feel like this is never gonna happen because I am not hearing from them.. I can't get excited because I feel like this is not gonna happen...... HELP..........................

I have tried Brenda's number two times today, it says the number doesn't exist (or something like that). Has anyone spoken to her? She has helped me with some difficult issues and with hooking up with Georgetown but I can't get a hold of her and they are not answering my calls either. Now I am freaking!

I can completely understand the frustrations. I can assure you however(I was there last Friday and my mom -in-law was there this Friday). Dr. S and his team really and truely are trying their absolute hardest. When I was there it was during lunch time and most of the ladies were not only eating and typing but also answering the phones all at the same time. I would try to give them just a little breathing room as he has barely been there a full month.
He and his staff are worth the wait. I had my surgery 15 months ago and my insurance pushed everything on through without any hassle my poor husband on the other hand went through hell and high water with our insurance and it took six months to get a surgery date. His staff really does work their absolute hardest.
Once everything goes through from the time you get approved to the time you get your surgery date it is a total whirlwind.
Also try to give Brenda a little slack to she is not an employee of Dr. S. she just volunteers out of the goodness of her heart and her in ability to answer the phone could be due to many things. We have had some nasty storms the last few nights up here and also she just had a new grand baby so she may have gotten the opportunity to go and see her family who lives away from here. Plus she works a full time job over the river quite a way up north from Cincinnati.
Try to keep positive and don't give up look at the steps you have already taken to become the new you no smoking, all medical clearances, and insurance approval. I have faith things will work out for the best and once you see your results this waiting period will be a distant thought.
Think of it this way 2 years ago my cousin had RNY done and from start to fini**** took an entire year to get everything set(no Dr. S wasn't her doc but he is now).
YOu are in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy reply but please don't give up
