I am home from my RNY!!!
Hey everyone! Well, I am finally home and couldn't have had a better experience. Now I am ready to watch the scales start dropping!
First off a big Thank you to Brenda for calling and checking on me and posting on here on my behalf. I can't wait to plan a get together soon!
For all of you that don't know Dr. Sonnanstine, omg you really need to check him out. He is the most amazing dr I have every been to. I never one time felt like just a number to him, he genuinely cares about his patients, and does everything he can to make sure you are happy.
I will be referring everyone I come into contact with to him that is considering WLS. In fact I think my primary care physician will be doing the same. They worked so well together, and never once was I concerned with the care I was getting.
I kind of just got brushed into Dr Sonanstines practice with him starting here in Georgetown, and at first I wasn't so sure, but now I know it was meant to be that way, and he is a total God send to me!
Surgery went great! My incissions are very small, I don't have a lot of pain, just a lil sore, but nothing unbearable and I just can't wait to watch the scales start dropping!
Thanks to all of you for your support, and thanks to all of the staff at Dr. Sonnanstines office. Each and every one of them, including all of the nurses on the bariatric unit are amazing. I hope to some day finish my nursing degree and work on that floor as well.
If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.
I CAN'T WAIT TO BE A LOSER!!
Hugs to all

Congratulation Jade,
Glad everything went so well. Take care of yourself and keep moving. I had my surgery about 4 months ago and feel great. This is the greatest step you could have taken to improve your health. I look forward to meeting you soon. COme to one of the support groups in Louisville.

Welcome home and welcome to the losers bench! Sounds so strange coming from me.....I knew you would absolutely love the nurses on the unit. Did you meet Teri? I thought she was awesome! And I like you would recommend Dr. Sonnanstine to anyone and everyone. And that hospital is just terrific. You and the whole Georgetown community are very fortunate to have such a caring and wonderful hospital. Hope everything goes well for you.... Donna
