DR Brown Tri state weightloss center
Just wanted to let you know that I have seen Dr. Brown and I really liked him. I also agree that he has a great personality he is serious when need be but also knows how to joke too. He also went over his credentials with me on my first visit with him and he has been doing surgeries with st luke for a while. Hope all goes well for you.

My husband and I are both Dr. Sonnanstine patients. However with Dr. S transferring to G.town my husband is now seeing Dr. Brown. I am able to make the trip to G.town but with my husband's work schedule he unfortuantely can't.
We both met with Dr. Brown and we was a very kind man. He answered every possible question he could(my husband always has a list). he also said he fully supported and can completelly reason with patients that wanted to continue to see Dr. S. My husband also saw Dr. Moon and liked him alot.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I met with Dr. Brown today to sign consent forms and they are working on scheduling my surgery. (possible 6/11). He did manage to scare the S^&$ out of me with the risks. I am going RNY and because I am super obese, which sounds way better that it actually is, I will be in the hospital longer, will be in ICU for at least a day and have a strong possiblility of having a feeding tube put in. I think I actually pooped a little when he said that. I least I will have the support of my wife, who is able to stay home with me while I recover. I am still in freaked out mode. Thank GOD for short term disiblility.
HAHA you said pooped a little!! well I had my surgery RNY - on 2/4 and had it with Sonnanstine... went back for my 2 week post op and had an infection in my left incision..... so had to start packing it...then shortly after he left... :( So i moved onto the new drs...had dr smith for my first appt and swore to never go back to him.... then got Dr Brown. really like him... ended up needing a scope done (threw up everything for weeks) and needed surgery done AGAIN for the infection - he wanted to make it bigger because it was not healing.... he did both of those and i have been doing well so far!!
I wasnt sure about his bedside manner at first but since I see him every week now...he has gotten alot better and its like he just needs to warm up!!
I wish you well with your decision and hope recovery goes well!!
Good luck!
