Hi I have Anthem Blue Acess (PPO) and have just been Approved!!!!! I have chosen Georgetown . I went to their website on Feb. 6th and downloaded their insurance review form and patient profile packet.On the insurance review there's about 26 questions to ask your ins. company and this will let you know if they cover and if there is exclusions in your policy.I then filled out the profile packet (I made a family history and included in my packet I don't know if it helped or not}and contacted Georgetown and was told to send the packet in. I sent the packet and waited a week and called. I messed up and did't send all of it in and had to resend it again at this time i was about 3 weeks out. I got a call from them setting up my 1st all day appointment which was March 25th. I then got cardiac clearence around the 12th of April and faxed it in. I then waited and on May 4th I got my approval letter. I have a BMI of 37 1/2 weight of 224 on their scales, sleep apnea for 2 years, high cholesterol. I am now waiting for my pre-op. I also chose Dr. Sonnastine he is highly recommended. Hope this info is helpful . good luck Tammy
I am down to 172 (down 56 lbs) and a size 12. I had the Realize band and I have 8.5cc in it. I will never say it has been easy but I will say it is worth it. I really enjoy how much I have my life back and how much I WANT to do instead of trying to talk myself into doing things.
