Medicaid & Doctor Supervised Diet
Hi Katrina, my husband had to do a 6 months supervised diet as well..though we have insurance through work and not medicaid I don't think it's much different.
He had to weigh in every month at our PCP's office...didn't have to see the doc each time as long as it was documented in his medical records...
I swear I think insurance companies just hope folks give up and quit..surprisingly he stuck with it and had his band last June.

Thank you very much for writing me back. Did his PCP actually have to document it as a medically supervised diet or does the weight do it? I am in the process of a revision and a 7 month supervised diet is a big part of it. I think it's a good idea because Medicaid is a lot easier than most insurance companies.

I hear ya Tony, I was off for a long time..would peek in and post quickly while at work. I have been working so much- just quit one of my jobs on the surgical floor at the hospital as it 's getting close to the opening of the Cancer Breast Center where I work now we are so busy getting ready to move to a new building..it's been crazy, took off a couple days so I had a 4 day weekend and here I sit on the computer..lol
