Feedback on Dr. Geller?
I've read the reviews of Dr. Geller on this site and read everything else I can find about him online, but would love any additional feedback that anyone here could provide. I hope to have an initial consultation with him soon, but in the meantime, would be very interested in hearing your experiences and impressions.
I will say that I'm very impressed that he personally answered another post I had on here a couple of weeks ago and he took the time to e-mail me some information that I requested from his office. He certainly seems responsive, and I'm not even his patient yet.
Thank you!

Dr. Gellar was a little too ****y for my liking. He seemed annoyed at some questions that I asked him at the seminar. Luckily I had to switch doctors and ended up with Dr. Kehdy who is the best. doctor. ever!!! I also met Dr. Rodriguez and he is hilarious!! He was up on the Bariatric Floor at Norton's when I was there and there was never a dull moment with him. I would recommend Dr. Gellar as the 3rd of the 3 surgeons that I know. Dr. Geller has a bit of a weight problem himself, and I have to wonder about a bariatric surgeon who would not have obesity surgery of some sort. He has been known, however, to bring his little girl with him on Saturdays if you have a Friday surgery. Good Luck!
Leanne you should have come to Support group last night at Suburban cause Dr. Geller was there and he was so nice and answered everyones questions in a laymen term way so everyone understood how an actual RNY works and lapband works and the statistics, along with explaing calories and fat. Missed a good support group.
I recommend ALL indivduals that are considering WLS to attend at least 2 or 3 support groups before making a decision or before having surgery

Dr. Geller is my doctor and I think he is an extremely nice guy. I didn't think he came off as ****y at all last night at support group. I like him because he does sit and answer any question you ask him. When I went for my intitial visit he sat with my husband and myself until all our questions were answered. I really like him.
