help!!

i have a question about the 6 mth weight loss requirement some insurance companies have..is it 6 consecutive dr visits ( jan - june) or is it 6 mths like jan 3 to feb 3 is one mth where  you end up having to have 7 mths of dr visits....im going crazy needing to know.. i had my surgical consult today and i am SOOOO close and on my way home i got to thinking and i dont know if im covered now...i cant find out anything til monday...can anyone please help me clear this up ...

Sandy, I am in the process of my 6 mo diet/visits. If you are using KY Medicaid for insurance, I was told by Ellen at Dr Husteds office that it would take 7 months of actual visits. Crazy I know.. so really its a 7 mo diet/visit period rather than 6.

I am in London ... where is Guthrie? Is that near Williamsburg? Just curious... it would be nice to meet someone local that is having WLS.

Hi Shea.  I'm in Williamsburg.  There is a support group meeting today (Saturday) for WLS patients and those thinking of surgery in Corbin at their public library at 1 p.m.  We'd love to have you there.  This group is just starting... I know it is short notice.. but if you get it and can come.. anyone is welcome.

My 6 months was 6 consecutive dr. appts - not 7, but I have Humana insurance for retired KY teachers.  I hope yours is like mine for your sake!  Good luck!
