Need info. on support groups in Louisville please

I'm hoping to have my RNY in early July with Dr. Shina in Charlestown,  IN.  I live in Louisville though and will not be able to go to Charlestown for the monthly support group meeting there.  I have problems driving at night and it would be too far for me to try to go by myself.

Are there weight loss support groups in Louisville that are open to anyone?  I thought there was one at Suburban Hospital.  I could probably manage to get to that one because I work near Suburban and do better driving in familiar surroundings.

If you have any information, I would really appreciate it.

Hi!  Norton's bariatric has 2 support groups in L'ville....1 @ the downtown hospital & 1 @ Surburban.  The one @ Surburban is on the 4th Thursday of the month @ 6 p.m. and the one downtown is on the 2nd Tuesday (I think? I have only been to the one @ Surburban because that is where I had my surgery).  I'm sure you would be welcome to come and visit anytime!  Best of luck to  you!

Leanne Pat is correct your welcome to either or both.   The subject for Aprils support group is Surgeon Forum so at Suburban April 23 either Dr. Shina or Dr. Gellar will be at that meeting.

Next month May for both support groups will be Success and how they got there from some post op patients that are at different stages in there weight loss journey
