St. Luke and medical records
I would advise anyone who needs medical records from St. Luke, when you pick them up go through them right there in the office. When I went to pick mine up they did not have my cardiologist info in there....they said they could not copy another doctors paperwork. So I went over to his office to get those copies. Now I find out they did not put a copy of my psych eval. in with my copies and that IS a doctor from their facility. I was told oh that is something different. How can it be something different? It is part of my records period! I went over there yesterday (from Monroe OH) and the girl would not go get my file and pull it out to make a copy for me. The girl that does that was off on a personal day yesterday. So I asked them to fax them ...."we can't do that" so they sent them by U. S. mail today (supposedly)...... So just an FYI to everyone...... check them thoroughly before you leave the office because they are leaving things out that you WILL need. That place is going down the tubes fast....its a shame........ Donna
haha....yeah well i'm glad that i'm not the only one that feels that way. I've been waiting for two weeks now for my records to come by mail. Be my luck they won't have half of mine in there. I've been fighting for my refund for over 2 months now...but finally they agree they will give my refund. Thank god....but yet still waiting on my records...can't make an app. with Georgetown til they have my records. Let me know how it goes. Hope all is well
They called me today to let me know that mine and my husband's records are ready. Are you sure you aren't suppose to go and pick them up because I asked if they could mail them and they said no I had to come and sign for them because of HIPPA. You might want to call them instead of waiting for them to show up. They told my mother -in-law the same thing that she had to come and physically pick them up so that she could sign for them. I would defintily check into it. YOu might be waiting for no good reason.
I talked to them again today....Kelly called me today to let me know she was going to pull my file and I could come and pick up the psych eval. later today....I told her ok.....now this is all after they told me yesterday they mailed ti. So 5 minutes later she called me back to say oh no they actually put it in the mail yesterday. I will believe it all when I see it. If I don't get it in the next day or 2 I am going to call Kelly again and tell her I will come over and pick it up. Its like none of them over there know what is going on anymore. I originally went over the same week Dr. S. left and picked up all of my records....Georgetown has had them ever since. But they left the psych eval out and then told me oh thats something totally different and seperate....I don't see how any of it is seperate or different it is ALL part of my medical records. I am just saying make sure when you go pick your records up you check everything...if you need a psych eval included you may want to double check it and if its not there ask about it. Donna
I feel bad for the office staff that is left behind they have to be caught in the middle of a firestorm. I think they have to be totally over whelmed. When my husband and I requested our records they were on their sixth page of names of patients who wanted their records. I can see why you would want to have yours mailed being all the way in Monroe. That's like an hour trip to Florence. We are just in Ft. Mitchell so it's not to bad of a trip.
I got an appoinment for May in G.town they are very accomadating. April answered the phone when I called.
I hope everything works out for you records wise.
Well I hope I'm not waiting for nothing since that exactly what I'm doing. I'm waiting to see if they come so I can go ahead and make an app. with Dr. S in Georgetown. I had to sign a paper and everything saying that it was ok for them to send it by mail to my address. I had to write the exact address and who it was to be signed out by and everything. Should I still be calling and finding out? that is if I can get a hold of anyone.

I was told that you had to pick them up in person too. So I got mine right away, I haven't made an appointment with Dr. S yet, but I am anxious to get down there. I also feel sorry for the people left over there. Now that Dr. S, Dr. Lisa, Steve and April are working down in Georgetown. With new doctors that don't sound very experienced or accomodating. Did anyone go to the open house or know someone who did? I heard not many showed up. The advertising got to me. They are the experienced laparoscopist? No one around has the expertise Dr. S has. So how can the hospital continue to advertise as they did is beyond me. I am going to predict the Center choses down and that is very sad for patients around this area.
I had mine mailed to me. I am going to Georgetown too. I got a bill 2 weeks ago from St. Luke's (from Jan). they used the wrong code so my insurance would not pay. This week I got a bill from St. Luke's (health alliance) from October and they charged twice the amount for the same visit I had in January. They really SUCK. I am just getting so stressed out about this crap. Send me the bill for October in December at least not 6 months later and expect me to pay $290 NOW. $150 for a fill and $99 for an office visit. In January it was $150 for a fill/office visit combo both with Dr. Tom
Same thing happend to me I got double billed one for the health alliance and one for St. Luke/St E for January how can they bill under the Health Alliance when the hospital parted ways and became part of St. E back in January. I agree I think they are going to shut down that center and expand the ER and you will only be able to be seen at St. E.
