Ky Medicaid

Has anyone recently started the process for lapband using Ky medicaid?  Someone told me they no longer require the 6 month diet and I was just wondering.  I wish I had started sooner, as I've returned to college and would love to get it done during the summer months while I'm off school.  What else is required?  I've been doing a lot of research the past couple weeks and just trying to sort through it all.  These boards have been a great source of information so far.  Thanks.

I'm having Lap band using the ky medicaid. As far as I know they still require the 6 month diet. You can call and find out though. I'm almost most done with every thing just gotta finish the last taste test and stuff like that. You won't have to miss that many days from what I'm hearing. I know most people thats had the Lap band and went back to work on the 4th day. Talk to your docotor. Might be something he or she can work out with ya. You're right...these boards have a great source of information...or I wouldn't have a clue where to start with my Lap band journey. Keep in touch...let us know how it goes.
