Ok....Sonnanstine moves from St. Luke after I already payed my program fee which is around 600 dollars. When I first heard about him possibly moving...i called and asked 3 times to make sure he's not leaving because I wasn't gonna pay no program fee and just wait and see where he's going. They told me plain....no he's not moving..just to the other side of teh building...then the next time they told me ...he's not moving til June, but you will have your surgery way before June because you've already have everything done...just have to go to the taste test and all that. So guess what...I went ahead and payed the program fee and they gave me an app to see the groups that you're suppose to go to. After getting there I find out he's moving after I'm already in the first meeting. Which isn't my fault. They should have told me before I signed in. Or atleast I think so. I was Sonnanstine Pre-op Paient...isn't there no way that I can get my money back? I called and explain the whole deal to them and they more or less told me that it was too bad that I would have to trust one of the surgeons thats there now with my life. TOTALLY UNFAIR. I didn't go there because of them...I was there for Sonnanstine after a year of deabating weather or not I should go thru with the Lap band. Can someone Please tell me what I can do to get my Money back so I can go to Georgetown where he's at now??? What to do??? Should I get a lawyer or what?

I personally would call an hospital adminastrator and explain the situation to them and tell them you want a refund cause these were not the doctors you choose to do your surgery.
It may not work but its worth a shot keep going to you get to the person at the top.
Good luck sweetie

I would not swear to it but when I went over to pick up my files from St. Luke (3/6), I saw a stack of charts sitting there with a note on them saying refunds.....you may want to push for the refund and tell them since you are not going to have the surgery done there you have a refund coming because part of the fee I thought was for some after care visits, and 2 trainer classes etc. and go ahead and tell them to get your files together to take or send to Georgetown.  Look at the binder and see if it tells yoou in there what the money was for. The good thing is there is no fee at Georgetown.  Hope everything works out for you.  Hugs....Donna
