I get that from too much standing. I use this stuff you can usually get at any chiropractor's office it is called biofreeze and it is great for sciatica issuses and muscle and joint aches. Wash your hands afterwards it can sting a little like bengay if you get it in a cut. CVS sells a version that I believe is called blue goo

thanks girls,
I have had problems with it before, but not for this long of a period, maybe it is this rain that is making me hurt. talk to you all soon,

A friend of mine uses the biofreeze as well and swears by it.  I only had problems with my nerve during pregnancy.  Didn't do anything about it, except cuss a lot!  LOL!  Good luck!

see your chiropractor, mine says that after about 30 lbs weightloss our bones shift and need adjustment - hope you feel some relief soon - I know how it feels
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you.  Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information.  Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.

I have chronic nerve damage to my sciatic nerve (Hot Pants calls it my psychotic nerve) after disk removal to my lumbar area 15 years ago.

If I'm good to it, it's a happy camper, but usually anything ot of the norm will lay me up for 2 to 3 days no matter how simple it seems to be.  This last party we had irritated it and I was popping darvocets for a couple of days.

My first suggestion is that if you haven't seen your doc for this in recent months it might be time to do so!  He can give you better drugs if nothing else!

My second and third suggestions are to take hot showers and simply let the ho****er roll down your back for short-term relief.  Another thing you can do is lay on the floor and place your feet and lower legs in a chair.  This flattens out the curve in your lower back especially if you can tuck your hips in at the same time.  This is the position that takes all the pressure off that area.  i have taken naps and read books laying in the floor like this!

Oh yeah, next trip to Walmart...get a heating pad or one of those microwave beead bags.

Thanks for all the great advice, it is just kinda stiff right now, my leg that is, but if I do anything at all, it will flare up again, I took some hydrocodone last night before I went to bed, and slept better than I had in days, I also laid in the tanning bed today, hoping that will help some from the heat.
talk to you ladies soon, you all have a great weekend, Lisa
