Hi Sandy,
Kosair's is the children's hospital that is connected to Norton's Hospital via a pedway. You're appointment is in the pavillion which is also connected to Norton's Hospital via another pedway so once you go in the building you won't have to go back outside unless you want to. You might also want to talk a walk through the Norton's cafeteria as they actually have pretty decent food in there as well. Ask Reta at the bariatric clinic to point you in the right direction when you're ready to go eat!
Oh yeah, welcome to the Norton's club!

Hey Sandy,
Directly on Broadway there are many fast food restaurants such as Taco Bell, McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, Indi's, Subway, Quizno's.
Downtown can be busy but if you just stay directly on Broadway (if your unfamiliar how to navigate the side streets) you should be fine.
Hope this helps.
