I would try some other mushy thing and see if it isn't the tuna. Maybe Wendy's chili?
Vickie, tuna and chicken are really tough for me right now as well. Stress, physical activity, time of day.....ALL this messes with my band real bad. For example: I can not even eat cottage cheese in the morning. I have yacked yogurt as well (plain). Try starting your day with a WARM drink then something real mushie for breakfast (no eggs, no tuna, no left over chicken...). Then for lunch work your way into something more consistent. I hope you can keep your fill..but I also understand how hard it si to struggle with being real tight....refired beans were even too hard early in the day for awhile
ANd when they say make your bites no bigger than a pencil eraser and put your fork down between bites....I understand WHY now...try that as well. It may not be the "chewing" but the amount of food you are trying to swallow with each bite; no matter how good it is chewed.

Hey Vicki,
Sounds like you actually may be a tad too tight to me, BUT as long as you are getting fluids in and are VERY careful (don't want to yak too much), I'd ay play with it for a few more days to see if it's old habits that need to be readjusted or if you have new foods that don't play nice with your amount of restriction.
My trigger foods for a surefire PB are bready things and dry meats. Sometimes scrambled eggs and rice want to hang up but if I go really slow they will work. Try whizzing your tuna in the food processor to get it to a more even consistency before adding the mayo (or whatever).
I'm like Sonja though....warm fluids ar about all I can do until noon-ish, I know you don't like coffee but how about a tea latte?? I had it for the first time while I was in the hospital for the GB removal and it was pretty good! I just mixed half hot tea and half milk then added a couple sweet and low....very yummy!
