I am going to the grocery today and I know what I need that the surgeon gave me (thank you Cindy P) but I was wondering what your favorite items were post operatively.

Any input you have to share would be greatly appreciated!
thanks teach/sol

K2O (special K protein water) - I lived on this stuff.  I like the powdered kind you can add to your own water so you can control the sweetness.  but the already made bottles are good too.  I would freeze these to a slushy constistancy and then let it just melt in my mouth nice and slow.

sf popsicles
sf fudgesicles
sf pudding
sf jello
sf mints
broth

one of my favorite things was tortilla soup, of course I just drank the broth when I was first out, it was different that chicken noodle, so it was a change. after you get over the gassy stage, you could also cook pinto beans and drink the juice, that was a treat for me, also the sugar free puddings already made in fridge section, that way you wont have to make it,.lol.

Looks like everyone pretty well covered it!
I'd have a variety of protein shake powders on had too.............
Good Luck!

Got interrupted last time I tried to post ........

Also get SF hard candy and lotion!
I began moisturizing before surgery and every day since.  After surgery, I was really dried out for a week or so.   It won't prevent loose skin, but I can honestly say after losing 113-115 lbs (depending on which scales I go by)  I have no hanging skin other than my sagging boobs.  Loose skin, yes.  But hanging, no.
Don't know if the extra moisturizers or skin firming lotion has anything to do with it, but it certainly can't hurt!

For some variety in the liquids, I also like the SF apple cider and SF hot chocolate mixes.
I also liked the Campbell's gourmet soups in the boxes........butternut squash, tomato.......they were easy on my stomach and gave me that variety that my tastbuds began to crave.

I am getting very excited for you!  You are going to do great  :)

Leslie,

What kind of moisturizers / firming lotions do you use?

Right now I am using Vaseline Firming.......and any other smell good lotion over top of it!  lol
Have also used Avon's firming lotion, St. Ives', and Lubriderm.   I've tried most and really don't know which or if one is better than the other.
I use Oil of Olay or Aveeno on my face and neck.

I stay greasy!  LOL

Are you using any right now?

Leslie
