Is anyone going tonight?
Sorry I missed you. I haven't gone to many support meetings so I don't know a lot of people. I was able to get my questions answered. I thought it was appropriate for him to stand in the back. I am sure there will be some things diffrent but knowing he will be there is the
re assurance I needed. I just have to get my records. I on the same note would love to work for him. I worked 23 years in a doctors office. I worked every department in a family practice. I was in medical records at first, then I went to the phones, and then I went to the front desk. We had many computer changes and I did a lot of registration. I ended my career as the site manager for 6 years. I loved that kind of work. Now I work with special education children ages 6 and 7. Believe it or not, I smile all day.

TORNADO AGAIN. BEWARE OF THE WITCHES!
TORNADO AGAIN. BEWARE OF THE WITCHES!
That was my big concern, WHAT IF?????????? About 6 weeks ago I was admitted to SLW. I thought I was having a heart attack. As I waited in the waiting room for what seemed to be a lifetime, I called Dr.Tom. It was a Sunda night, The operator told me he was out of town. I ask that she call him anyway. He of course called me back within min. I was admitted. I told them who my family doctor was and that I was a patient of Dr. Tom. I did not have a heart attack but I was really sick. I had acute pancreatitis. On Wednesday of that week, I called him in the office to tell him how scared I was. That my liver count was so high. He of course was never told I was there. I do blame the hospital. Anyway he eased my mind. I came home of Friday, but once this happens, it can happen again. Of course my diet is changed. But what do I do if it comes back. Knowing I can make the trip, I will. He of course eased my mind again. Maybe I'll go to ER First get a good painshot and then make the trip. Just kidding.

I will tell you that Dr. Sonnanstine is a perfectionist at his job. He expects nothing but the best from the people around him. His surgical skills and knowledge is beyond anything I have ever seen. I have never seen him treat any patient less than wonderful..(The reason I think he is so awesome. ) He makes you feel as though you are his only patient. If you don't live up to his expectations you don't work with him in the O.R. nor do you work with his patients. PERIOD!! I can tell you he expects a lot from those around him.(employees and friends).you will know it if he isn't happy with you..ask me how I know..![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/biggrin.gif)
Dr. Sonnanstine has worked at a local hospital for the last few years. He struggled for awhile as he wanted more and expected more but got less. He became a teacher, instructor and an even better surgeon. He was held back from expanding in the industry.
He came straight from teaching in Indiana yesterday to the Georgetown meeting and will be going to Florida next week ( I think it's Florida)....teaching other surgeons to place the "realize band" ..he has so much going on setting up his new practice..yet all he is concerned with right now is how his patients feel about him.
Best thing to do is let negative post die. There will always be someone who wants to start problems..and our country has something called "free speech"...don't mean we gotta listen to it or respond to it.
ignore it and it will go away...and hopefully this person will do just that!
Have a most wonderful weekend!!!!

Brenda, I agree with you I was just curious as to what bobbyannsue had to say about him. I have researched a lot of surgeons and locations. I decided on Georgetown to be my hospital, and after i researched Dr. Sonnastine, I decided I wanted him to be my surgeon. Nothing is wrong with the other surgeons that work there, I just prefer Dr. Sonnastine and I haven't even meet him, only checked out his creditials and read the what his surgeons had to say about him, good and bad.
Dr. Sonnanstine will win you over. He will never give up on you. He will hear and answer your silent cries for help. He will give you a tool that YOU can use to make your life better. He will always impress on you that this is a tool and how you use it will tell how successful. I am 3 years out of lapband on May 15th. Lost around 80lbs and still losing. My key has been to get out there and exercise and make sure I visit Dr. S every two months. I am overdo for a fill, I am on the list for appointments in Georgetown. I will continue to send patients to him. I chose him also from his credential, but he is so much better in life than on paper. Good luck on your surgery. It is a path that I would take again, I wish I would have found him sooner.
