Insurance Advisor Question

Hey Everyone and most likely Vicki,

I got a letter last week from BCBS of IL.  It was from a "Blue Care Advisor".   She was introducing herself.  She is a Blue Care Advisor with Blue Care Connection Disease Management and Wellness program of BCBS of IL.  She is available to work with me to help better manage my condition and achieve a healthy lifestyle.

So, what does that mean to me.  I immediately thought something negative.  Is this just a warm and fuzzy ?

Becky do you have any co morbidities that was associated with Obesity, like high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma etc.   She is what they call is case management they help you to manage any medical problems you have.  Its nothing bad you dont have to participate you don't want.  But its nothing negative at all.  They are just trying to reduce cost of certain dieases like heart diease, diabetes, many other common ones
