OT: I have lost my best friend

My 16 yr old chow died this morning,  I am so heart broken.   She was not well this morning noticed she would not get up.  We finally got her up and outside to go potty and she fell and laid there.  Bob called Dr. Powell our Vet and she said bring her in.   Dr. Powell said she was in congestive heart failure and that we need to go ahead and lay her down so she passed away at 11:45 am with I and Bob beside her holding her and telling her I loved her.

I am trying so hard not to eat cause 1 I just had a fill yesterday and 2 I am an emotional eater and I am trying hard to stay away from food right now

I'm so sorry Vicki!

You need to find a replacement activity for the eating....maybe go to the gym for an extra long workout today or go get your nails done or maybe getting flower beds ready since it's so pretty out there today.....anything to get you out and away from the kitchen!!

Thanks Becka I think I am going to lay down a while and take a nap before support grp.   I took a nerve pill to calm me down a little

Oh, Vicki!  I am so sorry!  I totally understand what you are going through.  We had to put our boxer, Toby, down 6 years ago.  He was my best friend as well.  Please know my heart is aching with yours!  Hugs to you and your hubby right now!

Thank you Kelly.... like the vet said that you think of your animal like and kid and having her so long like should be sending her to college or learn to drive.  It was hard on the vet today too as she has known Frenchie since she was 8 months old

Vicki

Sorry to hear about your pup... breaks my heart. But I am sure she had a wonderful life with you. So try and take some comfort in that.  Like Becka said... get out of the house and out of the kitchen.
((hugs))to you sweetie!
Blessings to you all, Leah
