Support group meeting Tues nite - where?
I know it's at Norton's downtown in the old Methodist building basement - Cramnmer Auditorium according to my handout that Dr. Shina gave me a LONG time ago. But I don't want to walk all over the parking lots and hospital trying to find the place since my arthritis is so bad. Can anybody tell me where to park, enter the building and get to the meeting in the least amount of steps? When I lose the other 180 or so pounds I'll walk any distance, but for Tuesday night I still need the shortest distance. I have a handicapped parking permit and a rollater/walker if it's a long walk. I remember going to the old Methodist building for my screening with the psychiatrist, nutritionist, RN, etc. back in October or November but I had valet parking for that.

Those moments ROCK!!! WTG!
The first time I flew and didn't have to ask for one was so cool. That and being able to sit and squash myself into a seat at the movies. OH oh, and to not have to ask for chair without arms at a restaurant! I smile just remembering those moments.
Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the good vibes! I will never forget this journey - it's not unlike when I lost 88 lbs at Weigh****chers back 30 years ago or so and started feeling "small" - in a good way. Except at that point in my life I didn't have arthritic knees, didn't need extenders, etc. Now it's even MORE appreciated I think. I need to go see a movie next and see how much better THAT feels!
I haven't flown for years, but last time I did i swore to myself I wouldn't fly again until I lost weight - it was so uncomfortable and even though the flight attendants were all very good about quietly slipping me the extender I was still embarrassed to have to ask. I will have to save my money and celebrate by flying somewhere once I get to goal!
