ETOWN, RADCLIFFE, BRANDINBURG.. ???? 4 U.

 Hey gals. If I got certified thru Obesity Help to become a support group leader, would there be enough interest to have a meeting down here once a month? I will Still attend the Norton's one's because I love my Jennifer, Casey, George, leeann, vicki, becca, grouping but what about having one closer to home too??
 Let me know.. If there is enough interest I will take the classes..

I would LOVE to have one down here but where would you hold one...what town? IT seems to me that Etown would be perfect  (but only for me). Radcliff seems like it is 1/2 way between Guston and Etown, is that accurate?
I want to go up to Louisville, but we will see.
  (( **OT- Do you know what date this month the meetings are in Louisville? I have my (me happy dancin') pre-op visit and tesing one is a Thursday.  Maybe I can make a day of it. ))

   I wish you great luck getting people to come down here. I know there is one at HMH in E'town, but I have heard very mixed reviews of this one.  Maybe if there was a more positive one around and the word got out then some would come see you

   Sol, I am so excited for you!! I cant wait for you to get on the bench.. Radcliffe/ Vine Grove is the middle of us all, but I haven't gotten that far yet, lol.. The meetings this month are March 10th  tuesday

 I know we have a lot of peeps here but some people dont need the support. I do.. as you can tell.lol
 Look, I have alot going on the next two weeks but Sandi, Vicki, LeeAnn and Becca all know how to get in touch with me, so if you need anything, HOLLAR!!! Enjoy preop!! I would love to have one closer to me.  It doesn't seem I've very good at making the one we have.  I'm going to have to miss next week's too.  Jimmie has a meeting with a disability doctor and they need someone to go with him who knows what problems he's having.  So I got nominated and it's the same day as support group.

I would come :-)  And to answer your question about the E'town doctors....they had 2 to leave & now I think they are having the bariatric surgeon team from Georgetown come down a couple of times a week??? I have attended the support group meetings @ Hardin Memorial Hospital & found them to be helpful some of the time....they meet the 3rd Monday of the month, I think from  6-8 @ the HMH conference room. They also sendout a Bandit Newsletter....I can forward you my last one, if I still haveit on my computer @ home.

Pat is right they have both left. It was- from what one hears thru the grape vine- not the best of situations. I had met one and he had a great personality. Never met the other, but by that point I had already ruled out the band.
I    met one of the older doc's in town about 6 years ago and he told me then had he been 25 years younger he would have gotten in to bariatrics. He said he KNEW there was going to be a big need for it.
  I think Hardin County needs some bariatric doc's but getting on with the hosptial has got to be tough to get a program started.

March 26th? Well, maybe I can, but I don't know that is when my mom is arriving. She is staying for 2 weeks, minus a jaunt to Ashville.  She will be of great assistance for me and my family.
