Ok...here I am!
DS on 11/14/12
Well we are fianally home. B has been so sick for over a week and after a visit to our local (and worthless) hospital we took him to his pediatrician. She said he has a viral infection in his lungs (our hosp said they were clear-no chest xray ever taken) and his ear on the left has infection in the drum and is ready to pop any moment (our said they looked fine) and so they gave him a shot of antibiotic and sent him home with perscriptions and we got tons of pedialite and diapers. This is why no one uses our hospital! Aren't they wonderful! Anyway...Aubrey refused the ER but I also found out she did not use the cough syrup the Dr gave her so I started her on it today. It has already started to break up the junk in her lungs and she is coughing it out. B's Dr said if he is not better after three days on the antibiotic then she was treating it as pneumonia and will admit him. So we are hoping the antibiotics work and he gets better on them.
I am going to leave out all the drama from the weekend....lets just say it definitely was not relaxing at all! I did get to see Lynn and go to church with her, but we were both sneezing, coughing, and too exhausted to really enjoy ourselves! But I got to see her and we did get to talk some. For a change I got to be her big sis and that felt good!
Then Tracy from the Indiana board sent me a ttext about Linda being in a car accident. Linda is a very shy person that is very introvert except to her OH board. Her family is far away so she holds her friends on there close to her heart. i know Lisa posted about her loss so I ask you all to say a little prayer for her and her family tonight. Also for all the families who's children will be able to live because of her generous donation of Maggie's organs. I hope that I never have to make that decision, but if I did...I would do the same. The gift of life......and it does not cost a dime to give but the rewards are monumental!
The best part......Sarah's team placed third and are off to state! They were exhausted and half of them were sick with this crud we all have and running temps, etc... I guess they slept all the way up and back and really could have cared less either way because they all felt so lousy! But we are proud of them! So next week we are off to Terre Haute to finals......then we are done for a month! Hence the reason I scheduled my surgery for next week!
So....I am sorry not to have posted earlier! But know that I really missed you all!

Oh, my! You have had an exciting weekend!
First, Linda and her family are in my prayers and I added her this weekend to the prayer list at Chruch.
Second - sending prayers your way for healthy kids! I think I'm coming down with the crud, myself. Hurts my chest, I can only imagine a little one's chest.
Last - YEAH, SARAH! Congrats to the team and best of luck in Terra Haute!

I was so hoping that you could have a peaceful, restful weekend. I'm glad you got to spend time with Lynn. This may give you an excuse to go back when you feel better and spend some more time with her.
Yeah Sarah. Glad that the team did so well. Here's hoping they do great in the finals-and that they all feel better too.
I read about Linda and I am so sorry. It's really hard to know what to say in a situation like this. I'm so glad that they donate Maggie's organs so that a part of her can live on helping someone else. I will say an extra prayer for that family as that is all I can do to help.
