Jesus (or just some hippie) wearing shades kissing Olive Oyl.....I'm not crazy (much)
Hey guys! I'm home. Got here around noon and I'm settled into my recliner where I'll stay until it's time to go get Gracie from mom's house sometime tomorrow afternoon. I'm feeling pretty tired so after I send this out it's pill and nap time. Anyone hear of a new painkiller called Norco?? That's what he sent me home on. Good thing there's a generic for it even if it'll still be about $30.
Well, Pebbles and Bam Bam ended up being only one stone that was about the size of a REALLY fat grape (he said the tech took a girth and length measurement and convinced herself it was two stones). He said the GB was discolored and inflamed and full of sludge so it really did need to come out before it caused more trouble.
The pain isn't too bad but then they had me pumped so full of narcotics I doubt I would have noticed anyway! Seems like every time they came at me with a pill or syringe it was a different drug. At last count, I had Demerol, and Morphine by IV (not at same time!) and Lortabs and Norco by mouth.
I expected this to be more comparable to my hernia repair I had than my lap-band placement but ya know....it's not that bad. I had a standing order for painkillers every 2 hours and sometime around 11pm last night was my last dose until right before I left to come home around 11am. I really think I could have come home yesterday but didn't want to go AMA either!
OK, now about Jesus and Olive Oyl.....they are in the curtains at Norton's pre-op area. We first saw it when I was banded a year and a half ago and then we saw it again when Richard was banded 9 months ago (I took pictures that time). So yesterday Richard and I were once again looking for it. This time we showed it to the nurse and she saw it too!! Can you?? Jesus is facing to the left and Olive Oyl is facing to the right. It's pretty much dead center in this picture. Bragging rights (and dinner on me) goes to the first person who can find it!

I'm so glad you're home and doing well. I have stared at the curtain for 10 minutes and still don't see Jesus and Olive Oyl. But you have to realize today I went to K-mart to get sugar free pudding and was standing right in front of it and asked someone where it was. They looked at me like I was nuts.

damned subliminal curtains.....
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you. Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information. Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.
