  Ok.  At first when I read that eating off the dessert plate would trick your mind, I thought yeeahh right, uhuhh. It does!! So fast forward to daily-plate.. I went by its recommended settings for loosing a pound a week.. 1500 or something like that. ahahahaha I ate like a horse, oh I have 200 calories left let me eat cookies and milk!! OH MY GOSH!!  
  I then decided OK, you need to eat 1200 so I played around with it and got the calorie intake to 1244 or so. Imagine my surprise when I don't feel like I'm eating like a horse!! I'm more careful about my intake this way and I still allow myself treats but my intake is muchhhh better.. I still go over 1200 occasionally but not as close to 2000 as I was.. I could still use another fill but I have done fairly well so far!
  So I guess a lot of it is in my mind.. Its funny how I never believed my mom when she told me that!!

I HEAR YA SISTA!!!!   I am learning there are just some things I must cut out because even if I stay calorie okay-I gain weight with those foods.

The whole process has been a mind game for me as well.    But going back to sparkpeople.com and tracking my food for the last week has been a real eyeopener for me.  I was stuck in the diet mentality until I realized I had not been eating enough.  Yesterday it finally sank in that I could eat more and I had such a great day.  I really need to find some low carb ideas for sweet stuff!

I am right there with ya! I am allowed 1400 cal but try to stick to around 1200...except for the last two days when nothing stayed down. Lol.....But I logged it anyway.  It truly makes your choices alot better as well. I try to get as much diff things in without going over and get my protein and veggies in as well. i have gotten so hooked on the Cafe Steamers and Carbmaster yogurt! Lots of food for little cals and good protein! And the prices are so affordable for me! I am reading labels more so as well. Did yu know the sugar free gs cookies have more cals than the other cookies! Kathy was surprised when I read it to her! Lol...no sugar but lots of sugar alcohols!
