Update on my MRI and Knee
They really make cute flats now so you can get a whole new shoe wardrobe now. I love shoes better than anything but have never been able to wear heels until recently anyway.
Good luck getting ahold of Dr. Rod. I still haven't gotten my medicine changed. I may not get it until I go back up on March 23. When he asked how the medicine did, I'll tell him that I wasn't able to get it and why. I really don't think he's getting the message but I could be wrong. I actually feel better than I have in a while so I may not need it until I go back.

Hey Vicki,
I had the same repair done to my left knee and just like GoTarts they found advanced arthritis for my age (42). Dr. Goodin actually told Richard right after the surgery that he expects to end up doing a knee replacement for me before he retires!! Good thing he's my age which means I have roughly 20 years to go!!
The whole thing about never wearing heels again is a little subjective as I do wear heels from time to time and have no trouble. The amount of pain after wards is also pretty subjective. I had mine done outpatient and was home around noon that day. By evening I was hopping around and using that leg to stabilize myself (not really weight bearing though). The next day I was walking with a cane. It seems like I used the cane for a week or two but that was mainly for safety as the knee would kinda give out (or buckle) without notice. I never fell but used the can as a "just in case."
Each person's experience is different though but try to stay positive and I bet this won't interrupt your Florida trip in the least!
