A whipple procedure is a complex surgery, involving removing the head of the pancreas and the first part of intestine (a.k.a. duodenum) and often a portion of the stomach is removed. After that, the remaining stomach, pancreas and bile ducts are surgically reconnected to the intestines. I would expect the emptying of the stomach to be affected and typical recommendations are to eat frequent small meals. You might consider the eating changes similar to what a bariatric surgery patient may go through by eating small meals.
