Ok...just got home and unpacked groceries! had appts and fun stuff to do. We went to New Albany for Dr appt and I stopped at Kroger down there and picked up some more Carbmaster yogurt and the Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers I love! everything I needed was on sale so I got lucky and stocked up a bit! As for the Dr.....he did a biopsy on a growth in my uterus and I just found out today it is benign (sp?) thanks goodness. The Endometriosis is back at it hot and heavy and the lining is thicker now than before so we are pulling the plumbing! I am going to have my hysterectomy done March 3rd at Floyd Mem Hosp in New Albany. One night stay provided no complications. He is just taking the uterus....doing it laproscopically as well. I am all for that! Less healing time and stitches! I wanted to wait until after State..provided we go that far! Regionals is this weekend in Northern Indiana! Dale is leaving Thursday for Chicago...his brother in law passed away and he is going for the funeral. So he will be gone until Friday evening. I have been online trying to line up a hotel room for him this am before we left.
So.....what is everyone else up to?

I am so relieved for you LeeAnn.  Whew!! Next hurdle... your surgery. Sounds like a great way to do it...laproscopically how cool is that!  I am excited for you to feel better!! And that looks like you will be soon!
Sorry to hear about Dale's relative. I hope for safe travels for him going to the funeral. And for you traveling to the regionals!!

I am home today and getting ready to pick up Olivia from school here in a while.
If anyone knows of someone selling a car.. small... automatic not manual... in decent shape.. safe for my daughter.. we are looking....She needs her own wheels. Nothing fancy, just something we can pay cash for (meaning under 3000.00) Let me know.. we would be interested.

Blessings to you all, Leah

Just speaking from experience, Lee Ann, you'll feel SO MUCH better after your hysterectomy - you won't even realize how "blah" it was making you feel until it's gone.

I've been getting ready for the KFC convention next week - leave on Friday and don't get bac****il a week from Sunday, so that's a lot of washing/packing/coordinating outfits.  I did go to Kohl's yesterday and bought me some new tops (got the pants last week).  I think people are going to be surprised to see the weight loss, even though I'm only 2 months out from surgery I'm quite a bit smaller than the last time I saw these people.  It's going to be such a challenge to eat "hotel food" for this entire time, though.  I'm really going to have to be diligent in getting in the protein.  Water won't be a problem, though.  There's always a water bottled attached to my hip at these things.

One of my remaining uncles passed away over the weekend, so off to the funeral home this evening for visitation and then the memorial service tomorrow.  One of my dad's 13 siblings - there are only 5 of them left now.  So sad to see them all passing.  We are an extremely large, close family.

That's about it for me!

So, did you ask them how much a uterus weighs??  You know I would have!!

Good that they know what it is and good that it's correctable.  Hate that ya have to have it done though.

I'm on for just a few minutes and wont be back tonight.  Richard and I are going to the 3 Doors Down / Setther concert tonight.  Gracie should be home here in about 10 minutes and I have to bathe her and get any homework she may have done as we are supposed to pull out of her by 5pm at the latest to take her to Richrad's mom's house and then meet up with his brother and wife who are going with us.

I hope everyone has a great evening and don't have too much fun without me!!

who would have thought less than half a pound of flesh could cause such problems, well, I guess my sweet tooth weighs less than that and it causes me a world of pain, hehe

sorry you have to go through this but from what I've heard you'll be glad you did!  Hope all goes well for you!

I am still spending my days unpacking, shopping, and getting more stuff out of the other house.  I am starting to feel the pressure of getting that place cleaned out, cleaned up and on the market!
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you.  Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information.  Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.
