Scales...why do you task me?

I'm unsure which scale to trust anymore. My home scale reads one thing, my regular doctor's reads another (higher) number and one at my school reads a third number. My home scale makes me think I've lost much more then I probably have, but it is a motivating delusion.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I know I have. I go by my home scale since it is more accurate. The dr scale weighs heavier than alot of the patients there so I think its really the dr scale that is off. I just keep track of the pounds more than anything.  Glad to see ya post!

Hey John,
Good to hear from you.  I would stick with my home scales and expect to weight a few pounds heavier on the doctor's scales but your home scales are what you will weigh on the most.  How ae you doing?

my scales and doc shina's are 6 pound difference..
Mine are trash I guess because the tanica scale at the bariatric center is closer to Doc Shina's scales.. so I go by his scales.. I use mine to dtermine if its going up or down

So now you've got me curious.  Do Dr. Shina's scales weigh 6 lbs. heavier than your scales or 6 lbs. lighter than your scales?  LOL  I'm one of Dr. Shina's patients too and I'm wondering how legit those scales are!

I use the Dr scales(Bariatric Dr)  I saw my surgeon on a Monday and a week later saw my PCP and my PCP's scale said I was 20 lbs heavier than the week before at surgeons office there is no way one person can gain 20 lbs in 1 week so I stick only to my surgeons scales or the Bariatric Center scales

I prefer the delusion so I go with the home scales!
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you.  Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information.  Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.

My PCP's scales are always 3-5 pounds higher than my home scale and the nurses there even admit it.  So I go by my home scale when I weigh - which hasn't been a while since I've hid it until March 1st!
