Friday morning coffee talk

   Well, I'm finally sitting down to my coffee this morning @ 8:30am and thought I'd check in with you guys since I'll be on the run for most of the day after this.

I survived (as did she....barely) getting Gracie off to school at 7am.  Got Richard out the door 8am. Sorted, folded and started a new load of laundry, cleaned up doggy poo (one of the dogs ate a dead critter and has Montezuma's revenge) and picked up a few things here and there.

Time for a shower in just a few minutes as it's my volunteer day in Gracie's classroom and I have to be there @ 10am till about noon if I stay to eat lunch with them.  I may not do that though since I have to be back in her classroom @1pm till 2pm for the Valentine's party.  I'm telling you, this whole PTA/homeroom parent thing can keep you busy some days!!

I also need to go to the bank, grocery and shopping to get a birthday present for my friend's little girl AND find a good valentine's day present for Richard and Gracie.

Tomorrow I guess I'll get no rest either!  Gracie has swim practice with her coach @ 11am and the birthday party is at 3pm at Incredible Dave's.  I'd like to try and go to church tomorrow at 5pm as well.  Doesn't make much sense to go out to eat since we can eat at the party so hopefully I can come home and crash early tomorrow evening!

I went over to the bariatrics department at Norton's yesterday while I was there for pre-ops and Reta told me that the Suburban meeting WAS NOT going to be the makeover ladies after all.  She said it will simply be an open forum which is actually the BEST topic for a meeting!!  I will likely try to go to that one.  It's on the 26th if anyone is interested.

While visiting with Reta and the rest of the gang, I decided to weigh myself on the GOOD scale.  Well, I'm essentially the same weight as I was at the January meeting.  It did show me to be 1/2 a pound heavier but I had on jeans when the last time I was wearing knit yoga pants, so in my book that's where the 1/2 pound came from. No weight loss for a few weeks is fine considering I'm not on my game like I should be and I haven't walked into the gym that whole time.  Once I get Pebbles and Bam Bam birthed I'll try to get a fill which I know I need since my volume has increased and I find myself snacking when I shouldn't.

I hope everyone has a GREAT day!  The sun is out...go soak a little of it up even if it is cold....it helps chase away the winter time blues!!

 Im struggling today.. Big time.. I dont even want to snack so I know this is gonna be a deep depression.. I will start the spring fling but I am probably gonna pull out.. Im not sure what and when Char's surgery will start so will have to wait and see.. I will probably also try to find a daycare that will take the kiddo around her house so that Katelyn has interaction with other kids.. I will not depend on His aunt to take care of Charlotte, I refuse..  Im scared to death for her..This surgery sounds so bad.. I wish Dr.Tanner or even Dr. Shina were doing it, I trust  Bariatric Docs and the digestive system, this scares me.. Google is the enemy!! I just dont know how this will work out.. I have thought about calling Holly and asking her what she knows about the procedure too.. I may ask Connie at suburban's meeting and I may not.. Im not sure I want know to know anymore..
 Sorry, Told ya this is going to be a deep one.. I think im gonna take a break from the boards today and take my kid to the park for sunshine and mommy time!!

Well..I am at work...alone! Yeah!  I don't have to deal with drama!  Got enough of my own but I left it all at home today!  Had my chiro appt...feel very relaxed! His good looks don't hurt either!
Anyway...Becka xounds like you have a busy few days coming up! Take it easy and try to find some "me" time! Dawn...you are gonna make yourself sick with all this and caring for Charlotte! Glad you are taking a day away and just enjoying the day! You need it for both you and Katelyn. It sucks that his family are so selfish and won't help out....on a consistant basis.  Charlotte stays in prayers along with you guys as well. This is going to be a rough road...let me know what I can do to help!
Everyone else....have a great day and get outside and soak in that sunshine! I got some this am and plan on eating lunch on the bench out front to grab up more! We have a competition tomorrow...imagine that! I hope they do well...regionals next weekend and then state! Hope we make it to them! What a great way to end our first year!

Becca enjoy that  V-day party  and all those pta responsibilities!!!!... This year neither teacher has asked much of me.. I feel so not needed...LOL...

Dawn Cheer up honey!!! I'ts not like you to be down.. I wasn't aware that Char had to have surgery.. what will they be doing?? I'm so sorry! Finding a playgroup or day care for Katelyn will be good for her... get lots of interaction with other kiddos.. Good Luck.... and enjoy that day at the park with her.....

Becka, you crack me up!  I think I MUCH prefer the first valentine to the 2nd one!! 

I'm down at Rough River - woke up at 5:30 and couldn't get back to sleep, so I came on down and Bill just got here a little while ago - went right to bed after he walked in the door.  (UPS overnight, you know).  Anyway, there is SO much debris in our yard.  That's the bad news.  There is good news, however - we can see the lake from the back porch MUCH better because so many of the trees down the hill lost their tops.  It will take a while to get the wood cleared up, though.  But another good news - no firewood expense for next winter!

Well, I'm going to try to have a KY OH group outing at the cabin this summer for everyone and their fam's.  It would be a fun day together at the lake!
