Hey everybody!!!
Sorry I have been M.I.A but I had to catch up on school work. Being in the hospital put me behind and I am due to graduate in May, so I gotta stay on my toes.
I am still at 25 lbs of weight loss, and can't seem to drink or eat enough during the day. I CANNOT drink water.... If I take more than a sip I feel sick the rest of the day. So I try to mix it in with juice and do the half and half. Protein is so hard. I can drink milk so I make sure I get that in daily and I eat a LOT of chicken. I am stil trying to get protein shakes down, but I hate the foam. I have only dumped twice...Once b/c I drank TOOOOO FAST and the other b/c I ate a piece of bread.... Never again....
Any tips, and should I have lost more weight by now.... I hope I am not stuck and am trying to get as much protein in as possible. I work out daily on either the Wii Fit or at the Gym on the treadmill. Other than that I am trying to get caught up in school. Hope you ladies are doing great, fill me in on what I have missed!!!!!

Glad to hear your are OK and it's only "real life" that's keeping you away from us!
On the foamy protein drinks....I know it cost a little more but I have found that the pre-mixed drinks are the only ones that I can tolerate easily. The consistancy is just so much smoother. Have you tried those and do you have a trouble with those too?
Another suggestion, try the No sugar added Carnation instant breakfast mixes (look in the cereal aisle) with milk to make hot chocolate....you get 13g of protein that way. While 13 isn't a lot compared to the protein powders it's certainly better than not getting any.
What will your deree be in when you graduate?

I use champion banana scream and chocolate flavors, no sugar and 23 gr protein in one 4 oz shake - and they really are shakes - just shakem up in a jar and pour over ice - no foam

hi Tiffany, I am one year out today, and I stil drink protein, I have tried several types, and my favorite is eas super whey 100% protein, in chocolate, it is smooth, mixes easily and isnt foamy,I used to put it in a bullet blender, but now i just put it in a pint jar and shake it a few times, it is my fav. and I don't think you would be dissapointed in it. I get mine at sams club in a big purple bag.
maybe you can try crystal light or hawaiian punch sugar free to get your water in.
I wouldn't worry about weight loss at this point, just eat protein enriched things, get in your protein and all your water if at all possible.

Tiff...can't give ya any more advice than the ladies already have but good to see ya back on here!

being pre-op I cannot offer any real suggestions, but I know you will find a way. From what I have heard it is a bit tricky in the beginning but gets better over time. I think I will try to remember Becka's CIB and milk drink too.
Hopefully you are getting back on track from the surgery with your school work.
