Swelling, bloated, or gas
I had surgery last Wednesday (Realize Lap Band). I came home Thursday thinking I was doing great. But now I am miserable. My stomach is so bloated. Everytime I drink something, I get so bloated, . I am not getting all my protein or water because of how I feel. I have been taking Maalox and Gas X. I went to the mall twice today just to walk. Can someone tell me what I can do for some R E L I E F.
Take your pain meds and use a heating pad. Get moving too!
Walk, stretch, relax with heating pad, walk stretch, relax with heating pad.
It will all start to lessen very soon....just give it a little mor time.
Come see us on here....if nothing else we can help pass a little time and get your mind off things for a few minutes at a time.

none of those meds worked for me -walking worked as well as warm liquids - chicken broth was my favorite because it had a little protein in it too! Hope it passes soon, mine didn't last long. Oh, and I don't know if it's true of lapbands or not but I do know that with DS and RNY sometimes we are lactose intolerant after surgery and that can cause gas pains that can easily be avoided with a little lactaid when you eat dairy products. Just ask a lapband vet. Hugs, hope you feel better quick!
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you. Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information. Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.

I did all the above but when I was at the worse part I would lay on the heating pad on my left side and rock gently to help work it out.....Just make sure no one is behind ya or they will be hurt! It really works though!
