Kelloggs has recalled the Kashi TLC chewy granola bars with UPC code: 0001862723959
Kathy got a message from Sam's that she purchased these...guess who actually bought them! Yep....me!  Here's the info:

Kashi Recalls Granola Bars

Kashi is recalling some of its granola bars as a result of the Peanut Corporation of America's salmonella contamination.

The voluntary recall includes:

• Kashi™ TLC™ Chewy Granola Bars in Trail Mix and Honey Almond Flax varieties, 7.4-ounce box with a "Best If Used Before" date prior to September 19, 2009 and followed by the letters CD (SEP 19 2009 CD), with the following UPC codes: 1862703000, 1862703001, 1862723959, 1862728409, 1862731567.
• Kashi™ TLC™ Chewy Granola Bars Peanut Butter, 7.4-ounce box with a "Best If Used Before" date prior to August 8, 2009 and followed by the letters CD (AUG 08 2009 CD), with the following UPC codes: 1862703002.
• Kashi™ TLC™ Chewy Cookies in Oatmeal Dark Chocolate, Happy Trail Mix and Oatmeal Raisin Flax varieties only, 8.5-ounce box with a "Best If Used Before" date prior to July 30, 2009, with the following UPC codes: 1862732467, 1862742593, 1862762001, 1862762002, 1862762003.

These products, which are sold nationwide, are also in some assortment and variety packs.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection to these products.

I'm beginning to think that before it's all over with that all the peanut product items are going to end up on that recall list!

Lately I've been gravitating to the South Beach cereal bars as a protein bar (since the Twisted bars are gone, gone gone!  So far, no recall but I'm thinking they are a Kraft item too, so maybe they are next!

I googled and found the FDA recall list for peanut prducts.  It's LONG but just scrolling down I see some other things we WLS people would possibly be using!

So far my South Beach bars are safe....I'm still gonna put them to the side for a few days though.
