In the Louisville area?  I'm looking for a doctor for my mother, who is 78.  Her current doctor isn't very good and she needs a lot of medical attention.

Vicki - I'd REALLY appreciate it!  I'd love a geriatric specialist, but I know they are few and far between.  I've asked my PCP too, but she's mostly in Oldham and Henry County and didn't really know of anyone.  Keep me posted and THANKS!

Dr. Bart Olash.  He is an Internal Medicine Specialist.  I have been his patient for about fifteen years and my father has seen him even longer.  He is at Baptist East Medical Center.  His number is 502-897-1776.  He is excellent.

I called his office - someone else also recommended him.  Unfortunately he's not accepting new Medicare patients.  I'm really running into that as a problem!  It seems like all the "good" ones are telling me that!

My PCP is Richard Hefner 243-3161 located in Crestwood Station, he is great!
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you.  Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information.  Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.

I would LOVE to use him - I've heard good things about him - but she's INSISTING on an "internist", not a GP.  And you can't argue with a 78 year old stubborn mom!

I see Dr. Hefner too (after Vicki recommended him to me).

He's the bomb!

I like the fact he very much listens to the patient and doesn't just shuffle in and out the exam room door on a conveyor belt.  He reminds me of what a small town doctor used to be.  I have a friend who has a small retail store in town who is also a patient of his.  One day he stopped in and checked on her at HER place of business rather than wait on her to phone in to do a follow-up with him!
