trip to ER

I have another Kidney Stone and it hit with vengence. I was told I passed my last stone (4 mm) If I did, I didn't feel it. And this one is 2 mm. And hurts way way more than the last one did. I almost passed out from being in so much pain. I soaked in the tub for awhile this am and wrapped up in a huge beach towel and made it to the bed to lay down. Tre' woke up and said mom your in a towel. I said I know I'm very sick. So he got ready and I managed to get him his pills and he went out to mom and dads, and had mom call and check on me. But before he left he said "my mommy is sick as a hog" ( this was too cute. not a dog a hog) LOL
We decided I'd better go to the ER so dad had to come in the 4x4 and get me. It took me 45 mins to get dressed cause I was so dizzy.
The ER gives me morphine and a bag of fluids. That didn't help one bit. Then they give darvocet. That took the edge off a lil bit. And I was also cathed cause i hadn't peed since last night. But not much came out. I didn't even have a full bladder. I had to get percocets this time for pain.
I'm finally feeling a lil better but I think thats just from ALL the meds together.
I go see my regular dr. tom. Then a specialist maybe next week.

So have you passed this last one or is it just being quiet for now??

I have walked that path with kidney stones many times and it certainly doesn't get any easier.  When they say it is more painful than giving birth THEY MEANT IT.  So I feel your pain Holli!

I say next time we just get in line for rhinestones....atleast we'll have something to show for it once it's over, huh??

My worst round was when I was 7 almost 8 months pregnant.  The ER didn't even want to look at me!  They simply sent me up to Labor and Delivery Triage who strapped a monitor on me put me in a bed and WATCHED ME.....You'd haver thought I was Linda Blair with my head rotating around...no one wanted near the hugely pregnant heffer!  I kept telling them I didn't need or want the damn heartbeat monitor since I wasn't in labor.....
 
"UNLESS THIS 'EFFING BABY IS PLANNING ON COMING OUT OF MY SIDE!!! 



Richard didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I spewed my vengance on them!

Of course they don't give hugely pregnant beligerant heffers any of the good drugs especially after THAT....


Seriously though Holli,  Take care, knock wood that it'll be a LONG time before another round of kidney stones and drink as much water as possible every day!!!  Oh yeah, no tea....ever!

Kids say the funniest things at the best (and sometimes worst times). That was adorable. I am soo sorry to hear about the trouble you're having.
I've never been through that but have heard it's HORRIBLE. Feel better soon.

Hope you get that stone passed quickly.  I have seen the pain that you can be in trying to pass one and I wouldn't want anyone to have to go through that. 

Since Becka has named Pebbles and BamBam, have you thought of a name (that you can put on here) for it?  Sure you've thought of plenty that you might not want to put on here.  haha

Hope the pain meds keep working until you get that thing passed.
