Oh then I have to share a tip I do.   I take a can of Italian spiced tomatoes and throw them in the food processor and add to the mix (use less egg and milk or whatever other liquid mixture you use to make it all stick).  It makes it easy to get some extra veggies in, some extra flavor and very few calories.  I also use 1 lb gr turkey and 1 lb gr turkey sausage...makes for a VERY flavorful meatloaf!  Well heck: here is the whole thing
1 can Italian spiced tomatoes
1 egg
1 lb turkey
1 lb turkey sausage
1 tbsp honey
2 cups Parmesan and garlic croutons crushed (more or less depending on how dry you want the meatloaf)
1 diced onion
1 clove garlic diced
red and green bell pepper diced (if you want)

mix everything but the meat and honey together and then set about 1/4 c aside (then add tbsp honey to the 1/4 c of reserved liquids)
add meat and blend and form into a loaf shape in a glass cake pan

Use last 1/4 cup liquid with the tbsp honey  to "top" meatloaf about 45 minutes before done

bake 375 for about 1 1/2 hours

makes 12 WLS friendly servings
