Hello all, hope everyone is riding the storm out OK and has electric. I was a bit concerned yesterday as I weighed myself in the morning. I weighed 299 the day of surgery and yesterday I weighed 276. That is 24 pounds in 5 days.. I was really surprised but I have also heard that losing to quick can be dangerous so I called the Weight Loss Center and they said if i wasn't having any problems or symptoms not to worry. I have been following the guidelines and Doctors instructions to a t and I really feel good. I am healing well and have even tolerated a few foods, on their orders of course. So I guess my question is, has anyone else lost this quick????? And can I expect it to continue like this

men tend to lose weight faster than the ladies ,I had surgery the same day with my freind a male & he lost weight so fast  like almost 30  a week ,just try & do exercise so you can tighten the loose skin you are young so alot of skin will fall baxk in place ,best of luck & keep it up ,& we live close togather both my my sis live in Nicholas & brother & aunt

Hey Guy,

Keep all of up to date on how you are doing. Be sure to call them back if you continue to have alot of weight loss. I was told that when I have the surgery to only expect a 2-3 pound loss  per week. I am not intending to scare you I just don't want you to allow yourself to be pushed aside.

Warm Regards,

I lost 28 pounds in the first week after surgery.  My surgeon had me start eating 4 meals a day at that point and I got in touch with the program dietitian and she gave me some tips.  The second week my loss was only 7 pounds and seemed to stay steady after that.  I lost 200 pounds in the first 8 months.  Men definitely lose quicker than women.  Congrats on the loss and good luck.

Hello all , it has been awhile since I have logged on here. I have been doing great and have accomplished my goals and beyond. I have never made a better decision in my life. I weighed 330 pounds before surgery and had a 22% body fat and now I weigh 198 and have a 12% body fat. I have been working out at the gym for 9 months straight now and I feel great. Check out my photos you will see. Hang in there all. This path is worth it. Take care....
