Well, I told myself that I would start entertaining the idea of Plastic Surgery after the first of the year and here we are!

Has anyone crossed pathes with this surgeon?  This is the name that they gave me yesterday when I saw Dr. Larson.  He's part of USA so it makes sense that they would refer their own docs.  When I looked at the website though he's got some impressive achievements listed.  I think I'm about 10 pounds away from actually going for my consult though.  Here's the link:

What do y'all think?

First Pebbles and BamBam, now excess skin- girl one day you're going to disappear.  You know if you have a tummy tuck you'll have to wear a tankini- me I'm still sticking with my Burka until after my surgery!

I'm glad you mentioned a tankini cuz this body will never be exposed in public in a bikini! Not even on a triple dog dare!!

These models make the Burkini look good though....might be rethinking here....

Becka,

I like the idea of doing plastics with the doctor's group that did my bariatric surgery.  I would think that they would know what they were doing and what they were working with.  Dr. Rod told me that I would have to have plastics after I had lost my weight and I see what he was talking about.  Unless I change my mind, I'll be going through the USA group.

I am of the same thinking as you that I would only consider a plastic surgeon that was familiar with the issues of bariatrics, especially port placement as I have heard that they are usually relocated with a tummy tuck.  My pessimistic thought though was that when you refer from the inside you run the risk of being shuffled around in the "good ole boys network" regardless of if they believe in their skills or not.

Dr. Wilhelmi seems to have a boat load of credentials to back him up along with the fact that he's CHIEF of plastic surgery for U of L so it likely would be a very good choice.  Would be nice if someone on here had heard of him before though.

I figure I'm at least a couple of months away from the consultation since I won't let myself do it until I reach the 85 pound mark, and then I wouldn't actually have the surgery until I reached goal (160 to 150) which would be another 10 pounds after that.
