Fill appointment and Dr praise
Got A 1cc adjustment, bringing me up to 6 in a 14cc band..
He was telling me how he felt I had done and we were discussing bands and percentages..etc.
I told him at 1year,4 months out, that I still go to support group meetings.. He was suprised,but he said," WELL thats why you have done so well".. It's a tool and you have used all the tools at your disposal.. I got to thinking about it and he is right. The meetings are a tool that is included in our program.. so are george and casey and jennifer.. we need to use them all. SO got a question about eating?? call Jennifer or Casey.. Have a problem with weighing five thousand times a day?? call mary or george!
He said that the meetings will also help to keep us on the maintenance highway too.. He had alot of interesting things to say today.. I didn't realize that gastric bypass will only take 80 percent of your weight off...Or thats what the stats say, or that band stats really do say only 50 percent of your excess weight will be lost!! UGH!! WE ALL BLOW THAT OUT OF THE WATER!!! WOOHOO!!!

I have to tell ya I had a blast sitting in my exam room across town texting back on forth with you while you sat in your exam room!! You made the afternoon more fun!
Richard got 1cc today too.....took three broken needles to do it though!

Great news, Dawn. That is a great report. Without the support group, I don't know what I'd do sometimes. And he confirmed what I heard from the doctor in the neighboring state about weight loss statistics.
I'm glad I picked Norton's to have my surgery. Casey has called me to see how I was doing and see if I had any questions a few months ago. It makes you feel like they care and I really think they do.
I just want to thank everyone who has helped me in the past and those who will help me in the future. I think what helps the most is knowing that I'm not in this alone.
