OT< Poor hubby
hi all
remember that life stinks. And when it does we can face it and move forward!!! Just being able to post this makes it sooo much easier.
My dear hubby was in the hosptial over christmas with his 6th (yes, that's correct) surgery and guess who is back in patient --- A-G-A-I-N?????? Most likely NOT surgical, but still a pain in the back. It is horrible for him in awful pain. It is hard for the family...stress wise, and most of all hard on our 10 year old.
Go****ear up just thinking about the toll this must be taking on him. I try soooo hard to be positive for him and to do things for and with him that still make him feel happy. And in all honesty he is simply awesome in the hospital. I can cope but I hate it that he has spent so much time there.
So, I will find out tomorrow what will happen. We will make it through, one day at a time.
Think happy thoughts for DH and wonderful son- please,

Sol...so sorry to hear he is back in again. Your son sounds like a real trouper and very understanding of all this. Ten yrs old huh?.....quite the little man then. Talk to him about it and tell him of your concerns on a level he will understand but not be scared. Kids are so much more intuitive than we sometimes give them credit for! Sounds like ya both need big hugs(((((hug))))...best wishes to hubby for a quick answer and resolution to his ailments as well
So sorry to hear that your hubby is under the weather again. I have a 10 year old too, he is very much the young man now. Actually today I took him to his first funeral with me, it was for his best friend's grandmother. He asked so many questions, I didn't pressure him, he handled himself so well and am so proud of him. I think when they are that age you have to expect they are somewhere between boy and man. Praise him for being a man and let him know it's okay to be a little boy too. He will be stronger for it. My prayers for your husband and his health, I can't even imagine how my husband would be if he had been through all this. I hope his spirits stay up and he is well soon.
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you. Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information. Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.

I thank all of you.
His surgeon came in today and said it was not anything surgical and since he has been through this before he beleives it is probably diverticulosis. So big time antibiotics and hosptial until he is in less pain.
Whoooo Hoooo NO surgery!!!
I apreciate all the kind words and helpful advice.
I will keep you all up on the info.
thanks
