Louisville Banded?

I am just trying to learn how to use this site and I can't figure out how to find a support group for lap band patients in louisville. I am traveling to get my band put on in 2 weeks.

Chris we have a support group the 2nd Tuesday of the month at Norton's Pavillion downtown and the 4th Thursday of the month its held at Suburban Hospital in the Woman's Pavillion. 

If you need details of how to get to either place just let me know.?

Where are you having surgery and who is your surgeon?

What time does the meeting start? I have my surgery with Dr. Curry in cincy. I have a bariatric exclusion on my insurance so I am paying for it. It saved me some big bucks.

Hi Kris.  Welcome to the KY forum.  I had my lap band in louisville.  There is a lap band forum here on OH and of course you already found the ky forum.  I live in INdiana now about 2 hours away from louisville, but I had my surgery there.  Who is your surgeon?

I have my surgery 2/2 with Dr Curry in cincy because my insurance doesn't cover this. Do you think I will be ready for the party 5 days later? Do you go to the support meetings?

Congrats and good luck on your upcoming surgery.  Dr. Curry is a great choice IMO!

Vicki, Lee Ann and I all attended the Norton's support groups along with a few others on this board (Dawn, Sandi, Michelle, Laura, Kelly, missy, dannyell....did I miss anyone??)

Anyway, they are pen to anyone interested so you'd be more than welcome to join in!

Not sure how you'll feel 5 days post-op....likely not party material yet but we all do try to get together at least every other month socially as well and you are definately welcome to come!
