I broke Sunday's Thread

Okay, I admit it...I broke Sunday's thread so now I am doomed to what...fifteen year's bad luck???

So, starting over since only a side of my post is visible:

Yesterday I finally felt comfortable enough to put back on a pair of bike shorts (and could also fit back into them) and my Road Bike returned to its winter place of honor in the middle of my living room on the trainer
Knowing I have ridden over 110+ miles in one day (2 years ago) it is hard to believe I could only last 20 minutes....but baby steps right????   Also I did 25 minutes of core strengthening on a balance ball (I think I did more falling than strengthening but falling down and getting up again can be a form of exercise, right????)

Okay: Food log:
B: 2 small cottage cheese pancakes with 1 oz Light n Fit yogurt on top
S: 1 cup LF Microwave popcorn
L: Lo Carb tortilla with 2.5 oz turkey and 2 oz cheese (grilled) and salsa
S: 1 tbsp PB, 1 string cheese, 10 RF wheat thins
D: 6 oz Chicken Tortilla soup and 1 tbsp RF sour cream
S: 4 oz protein ice cream

88 oz fluids, 2 Multi-Vits, 1 B-12

Cals: 1006                        Fat: 39                    Carbs: 74                        Protein: 89

uh, I am in awe of you - I think I might have burned a few calories just reading this post!

Way to go!  You'll be at goal in no time at all!
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you.  Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information.  Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.

Awesome job!  Baby steps is good...Lance Armstrong had to start with baby steps too, right?!  LOL!  How long (hour wise) did it take you to ride 110 miles?!  I know you go faster riding than walking, but that seems like you rode all day.  Makes my legs tired thinking about it!

Hey Kelly, it was 9.5 hours (with 2 30-40 minute breaks and several short breaks).  We averaged about 14/mph which for a century ride (100+) is pretty good.  Some friends of mine ride a century every weekend and usually top out at about 350 miles per weekend....One of my favorite rides is the My Old Ky Home Ride which starts at EP Tom Sawyer Park outside of Louisville and goes back roads to Bardstown, Ky.  BEAUTIFUL ride, and it is about 130 miles over 3 days (75 one way 55 back; obviously different routes.)  Running used to be what kept me in shape, (and thin LOL) but I found my body couldn't handle the abuse anymore so I switched to cycling almost 2 years ago after a horrible ankle injury while running.  It is SOOOOO enjoyable, relaxing and great cardio; but if you don't keep up with it it is like anything else, those muscles get tired quick.   Last year I rode to and from work 2-3 times a wee****il I was knocked off my bike by a car, fractured my hand and haven't been on my bike since July...so I figure it will take a while to get my bike legs back! (not to mention my bike butt....have to toughen that area back up as well...!)

I was just thinking "I wonder where she rides these rides".  My parents use to live in a town outside of Nashville and we use to see bike riders all the time on the...is it the Natchez trail?  (I don't know if I'm even spelling it right.)  It goes all the way down to mississippi, I think.  It's a nice sceanic route.
I use to love to bike ride in my teenage years.  Haven't done it in forever.  At the end of the season last year I bought a bike from a neighbor who fixes bikes.  It's just one of those Huffy type beach bikes.  (I don't know the official names, but it looks like a bike you'd see at the beach with a big straw basket on the front.  Mine doesn't have the basket...yet!!  LOL!)  Just wanted something to leisurely ride around on.  Haven't rode it but once...
