Support groups?

Where are all the local Ky support groups at???  Is there anyone that goes to Somerset for groups???  Thanks

It depends on where you are located.  Since you are near Somerset and one of Dr. Husted's patients you might see if his office has any support groups. 

Since there are very few DS patients here in KY and the RNY/LapBand support group meetings were really not helpful to me,  a few of us got together and started our own support group.  We meet once a month at a restaurant, eat dinner and talk about our lives.  It's alot of fun but it would never have happened without someone like you offering to get it started.  There were only three of us at our first meetings and this month there were 10 of us.

There are none in Eastern Ky that I am aware of - other than KDMC in Ashland.
There are 4 of us that have been getting together regularly for a dinner meet up about once a month.  We usually meet in Paintsville or Prestonsburg.  Not sure how far that is from you.

You are more than welcome to come.  We'd love to meet you!
