So many books....so little time!
OK, first and foremost I want to apologize for being sparse on here lately. You guys are such a support for me that I do feel guilty when I'm not there to support you guys as well.
Now for my excuse......SOOKIE STACKHOUSE!!!
I'm knee deep in a quirky 8 book vampire/romance/mystery set that I simply can't put down!! I absolutely LOVE to read when I find a good author and this one plum tickles me to death!! I just downloaded book 4 on my Kindle and that will last me through Wednesday as I'm tearing through them at about a book ever two days. Dawn and Lee Lee have crack tea, I have crack books!
It's so bad I'm staying up till all hours reading....then again Richard is spending his time in the garage with his drag car, so what the heck? He's determined to get this car built in time for Spring drags. LOL, Gracie is becoming a Wii fanatic so we all have our vices over here in the land of Talley.
I promise I'll get back on here tomorrow after I get back from my volunteer job at Gracie's school (LOL....i'm a library volunteer, go figure!) and check in with y'all properly!

Okay, so what is the title of the first one? (I like to read series books in order. ) I remember talking about these with you a long time ago. Did you say that you also like Janet Evanovich books, too? I saw at Kroger that a new Mini Plum book was being relaeased this month. Plum Spooky, I think. I wondered if you liked the Sookie Stackhouse books...now you have me intrigued!

The author's name is Charlaine Harris and the first book is called Dead Until Dark. While I liked the first book I wasn't really sold "lock, stock and barrel" for the series until l was deep in the 2nd book. It's definitely got that quirky nature about it just like the Stephanie Plum series but not quite as funny. It's a bit more sexual but not totally raunchy and it's definitely gory with the blood drinking and such but not as bad as what you'd see on a slasher movie which I can't stand those!
It's actually been made into an HBO series called True Blood. I haven't seen it as we don't have the movie channels but I might give it a try when they put them on DVD. There's a clip on Youtube which looks really interesting EXCEPT for the blood (OK, I'm a little queasy with that stuff). I'll include the link for you. Let me know what you think!

Oh yeah, I THINK the release date for Plum Spooky is already out. They moved the release date up which was supposed to be something like the 13th. I guess I'll have to stop the Sookie books after the one I'm on long enough to read that one!
I'm always on the lookout for good chick (slightly smutty) lit. Any goods ones to recommend?
