bowel consistency (sorry to be gross)

Okay, sorry to be gross, but when do the bowel movements become "solid"?  I have had many, many bowel movements in the 2 1/2 weeks since surgery, but so far it's been like having random diarrhea.  The doctor seems to act like any poop is good poop, but how long does it take to have a "normal" bowel movement?

I don't know the answer to your question but I do know that if you are only taking in liquids and mushy runny foods that is what is going to come out.  Once you change your diet to something more solid it should firm up a bit, ymmv according to surgery type but it seems this is a very common occurance with alot of folks.  If you are having trouble with sore bottom try using baby wipes or tucks pads when you are done.  Hope it gets better soon.
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you.  Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information.  Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.
