Emily, welcome aboard!  What a way to start the new year- planning for a healthier you.  Hope you enjoy your seminar and learn lots of good stuff.  Then continue to check back here for more info, encouragement & support.  This local forum has been extremely key to the success of most people here, in addition to the surgery itself, I think most would say.  Congrats on your decision for weight loss surgery!  Hope all goes smoothly for you!

It is a wonderful journey and I don't think you will regret it.

This is a wonderful board and people on here are very supportive and helpful.  It is great!

My husband wasn't supportive at all.  We are now divorced.  However, I do think that if you have a strong and happy marriage - it will all work out and be fine.  But, if you don't have a good relationship now, it will get worse.  If that is the case, try to involve him as much as possible by having him go with you to meetings and appointments.  May even talk to they psych about it and look at marriage counseling to make the most of your relationship!
