Congrats on your surgery.
The pain will fade fast and it will be well worth it.  Just try to get your fluids in and WALK!

Good luck to you.

Glad to hear you're home.  Take it easy, but do some walking.

Thanks for the well wishes folks. I'm trying to walk around the house a bit, but it is so cold. Getting up and down is getting a lille easier. When I'm still I almost forget about it until I try to move then OUCH! But I'm glad for the eventual benefits this will bring.

Hey John,

Just keep your mind on the positive changes 2009 will bring and how much more effortlessly you'll be moving this time next year.  I really think this is a present you gave yourself!

How are you feeling now?  Everything on the mends?  Adjusting to banded life?  I have Dr. Geller as a surgeon, as well.  I'm hoping to have band surgery in Mar or April.  If I have any questions, do you mind if I ask you?

The surgery pain is waning but now my left shoulder is killing me. What is up with that?

I'm probably not typical at all in the way I'm handling this but I will be glad to help you in anyway I can.

The shoulder pain is trapped gas from the surgery itself.  Use a heating pad, take your pain meds and be sure to walk and stretch a little bit every hour or so.

Gas-X could help a little too.

So far everything sounds like it should.

Congrats and take it easy!

Congratulations...

Shoulder pain is definately normal and mine lingered around for about 2 weeks... Got worse when I laid down!

What a great xmas gift you've given yourself!
