I got the set of 4 for Aubrey for her 17th birthday. that is all she wanted. Not only has she read them all...now her sister is reading them as well! They also now have twighlight out in paperback at Target! Alot cheaper than hardbacks.

I am currently reading the fourth book in the set, A Breaking Dawn.  They are really good .  Keep in mind though that they were written for the young adult set.  The characters are in high school and their "human issues" are age appropriate....thus, no vampire or wolfie lovin' to speak of!

I'm going to try the Sookie Stackhouse books (The Southern vampire Mysteries series) next.  A poster on the band board was raving about them.  I'll let y'all know how they are.  I'm hoping they are somewhere between a Harlequin romance and soft core erotica.

OK, so Becka likes a little smut......

Becka - Please let us know how you like them.  I'm on the 3rd of the Twlight series and have really enjoyed the writing in the books.  I'm interested in branching out to other books of these types.  My favorite auther is Janet Evanovich and all her Stephanie Plum series...so vampire type books haven't been on my bookshelf!

Hi Kelly,

I'm a HUGE Evanovich reader as well.  LOL, I even have a RANGEMAN ballcap!  Only book I haven't read yet was the new re-issue of Foul Play.

I'm hoping this Sookie Stackhouse series delivers because I need a good new series to keep me busy and fill in the gaps between the Plum segments.

The Twilight books were good....so far the forth book ROCKS! LOL, There's even a little vampire lovin' in the last book!!  It's still not what I'd call steamy but definately interesting.

Anyone have suggestions for us book fiends for a good series to keep us busy?

OHHH the Twilight series ...I love the books.  I'm a teacher and at the beginning of this school year, some kids were reading the books.  I asked them about the books and words were flying.  The kids are so passionate about the books.  Not long after that, my daughter's grandmother sent her these books, and can you believe it...it was the series. So I started reading them.  At school I would talk to the kids about the series. It was sooooooooo cool.  Of course now my daughter absolutely loves Edward. I agree to the comment that there is not much hanky panky (lol) which Im glad for my daughter.        I have since then found the Highland Series by Karen Marie Moning.  There is mythical characters, magic, and some STEAMY love scenes.

Hey Holli,

If you haven't purchased the book yet, you can have my copy.
I tried reading it but just couldn't do it.. My mind wouldn't focus long enough.
I can say the first 3 chapters are good though..
