2 day clear liquid diet and sugar cookies baking!

Ok, so my 17 year old daughter wanted to bake the traditional sugar cookies for Christmas for her friends at school.  Why couldn't she have done this last weekend or even yesterday before I started my 2 day clear liquid diet?  I guess I better get used to it, the smells and sights of foods I can't eat huh?  My gastric bypass is Friday - it'll be awhile before I am able to eat real food.

I have removed myself from the smelliest areas of the house and am now computing in my bedroom on my laptop.  I can still smell them!  awwkkkk!  Someone pray for me that I will keep my hands to myself and avoid that kitchen at all costs!

Just wanted to vent - and remind myself that chicken bouillion and green jello are GOOOOD!   LOL

Cindy....
Girl you are a brave woman.  I normally would have all sorts of cookies baked at this time.  But this year I just can't. 10 weeks out from surgery and I don't want the temptation.
I will make sure to say an extra prayer for you!!  SF popsicles are considered as liquid too.... they are my new bff!!
Blessings to you all, Leah

Leah - I would LOVE to have a SF popsicle right now - but my grocery store (Walmart) here in little Tompkinsville doesn't have a box that has non red or non purple SF popsicles right now.  When I get to Louisville where there are BIG Walmarts and KROGER (how I miss that grocery) I bet I can find some popsicles that are the right colors for the 2 day period pre-op I'm going through!  In the meantime I am just calling out to the girls to ask if things are going well and enjoying my jello in bed!  LOL

Thank you for your prayers - I really do appreciate it!  Keep up your good work and keep posting  too - you're inspiring me!

Hugs,
Cindy

 Cindy,

I'll be thinking and praying for your rapid recovery.  Dream about those sugar cookies and sugar plums in your sleep tomorrow.  Give me a call when you get to your parents and I'll visit.

Best of luck and looking forward to seeing the new you!
