Massey Energy insurance

My husband has switched jobs. I still have coverage thru his former employer until the end of December. And I am still waiting for an answer on my appeal. So my question is this....does anyone know if BCBS Anthem that Massey Energy has will cover weightloss surgery?

I'm not sure if that insurance covers wls or not.

When the appeal goes through did you ask the dr. if he could try and get your surgery done before the insurance is cut off ?

I searched on OH and came across this lady's page. She is in WV and is pretty active on the boards. She had Anthem BC/BS through Massey Energy out of WV. I bet she could tell you much more on this topic.

If I can get approved, that is the first thing I am going to do...try my best to get the surgery in before the end of the month. All I would have left to do is the 3 hr class. Are there certain days they have the class?

Yes it goes by surgery type. Lapband one week, RNY the next. Not sure how it goes.
