Help with avatar

Help..... I uploaded a pic from today as my avatar.  Even though it shows this photo on my profile, it doesn't show up as my new avatar.  What am I doing wrong?  I resized it to fit, but can't get it into the right spot. HELP!

Thanks for replying Katrina.  I finally just restarted my computer and it showed up fine.  I don't post a lot on here, but I do get on and read the posts everyday.  Everyone is looking so great.  Loved the pics from the X-mas party, you guys are amazing.  I live in Wheelwright, way south of Prestonsburg.  Thanks for the welcome.

You'll have to post more often. We had a really nice time at the Christmas party. Some of us east KY ones try to get together monthly, so you should join us in January.
I sorta know Wheelwright.. I work at Martin PD, so I know that area much better.

Katrina......I would love to do that, right now I'm just a little nervous about driving, especially in the snow. :)  I was in the accident last month at Maytown.  I am sure you heard about that one.  My grandson and I were the ones in the Jeep that got hit first by the pickup and then the coal truck driver was trying not to hit anyone and was killed.  Needless to say, I am a very nervous driver lately.  But we were very lucky, besides the truck driver being killed, the other lady is still in the hospital and not doing very well.  
I use to live in Martin, so I know that town very well.  I worked at Our Lady of the Way Hospital there for many years.  My daughter lives in Cracker Bottom.

Oh Leslie, you are my idol!  I watch your transformation in awe.  You are doing so well.  Katrina invited me down to meet everyone next month.  I will try very hard to make it.  As I told Katrina I am a very nervous driver since the accident last month.  But I guess I need to get back on that "horse".  Thanks again friend.
